We are interested in studying artificial reasoning, human reasoning and the interaction between them.
Our research interests include:
- How effectively different AI models support and evaluate reasoning.
- How to evaluate AI reasoning beyond final-answer accuracy.
- How AI judgements compare with those of human experts.
- How AI systems understand and adapt to reasoning that develops across an extended dialogue.
- How encouragement, challenge and feedback affect the quality of reasoning.
- How AI systems can broaden access while treating people fairly across different backgrounds.
